East River Federal Credit Union sponsors contest for IAUW
Interlakes Area United Way’s popular 15×15 Challenge is back with generous support from East River Federal Credit Union. This exciting promotion, aimed at building momentum for IAUW’s 2025 campaign drive, encourages donations of $15 or more per month to IAUW in 2025. Donors must also submit the pledge to IAUW by November 15.
As a special incentive, every qualifying donor will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $500 gift card.
“At East River Federal Credit Union, we believe in the power of People Helping People,” said ERFCU Executive Vice President Trasi Smith. “When individuals come together to support important causes, it strengthens the fabric of our entire community. A small monthly contribution can create big change and help build success stories. We’re excited to see the impact these pledges will have in 2025.”
ERFCU has sponsored the 15×15 Challenge since 2018. The contest surpassed the $113,000 milestone during United Way’s 2024 campaign drive, highlighting the tremendous support from local communities. This year’s goal is to build on that success, helping IAUW continue to fund essential programs in Lake, Miner and Moody counties focused on education, health and economic mobility.
“We’re grateful for the continued partnership with ERFCU and their commitment to helping us engage even more donors this year,” said IAUW Executive Director Melissa Dougan. “By pledging $15 per month, donors are helping us sustain vital services in the Interlakes area—and have a chance to win a great prize in return!”
Dougan says $180 a year is enough to buy free books for a year for six children through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. It could also equal a day of food and shelter for up to three people affected by disaster through the American Red Cross.
