Delta Dental bus returning to area this summer

Appointments available for those 21 or younger

The Delta Dental Mobile Program will return to Lake and Moody counties this summer to provide oral health care to young people. The bus will visit Madison June 9-12 and Flandreau August 18-21.

The Delta Dental Mobile Program travels with a dentist, hygienist, two dental assistants and a coordinator. Patient care includes exams, cleanings, preventive treatments and cavity fillings.

Oral health education is also provided so patients can continue to care for their teeth after the visit.

Children from their first tooth through age 21 are eligible. Services are provided at no cost to the child or family, and insurance is not necessary.

The Delta Dental visits are a partnership between ICAP, Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) and Delta Dental of South Dakota.

ICAP will host the bus at their head start facilities at 106 S Van Eps Ave in Madison. In Flandreau, the bus will be located at the Moody County/SDSU Extension Office at 500 W 1st Avenue.

Registration in advance is needed, and a patient consent and information form must be completed. For details, call Jacqueline at ICAP at 605-291-2713.
