IAUW hits $15K milestone with DTMT funds

Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) has reached a new milestone, surpassing $15,000 in total funds raised through DownTown in MadTown (DTMT) events since 2018. This summer’s series contributed $3,701, bringing the total raised to $15,385.

Hosted by the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce (GMACC), DTMT has become a community favorite for live music, food, and family fun on Egan Avenue. IAUW board members manage the beer garden at each event, earning a portion of sales and tips to support local nonprofit efforts.

“We are thrilled to surpass $15,000 through this partnership,” said IAUW President Lori Gustaf. “These funds directly support our partner agencies, helping us build stronger communities together. A big thank-you to GMACC and [Executive Director] Eric Hortness for making this possible.”

DTMT has been a summer staple since 2018, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic. The event continues to showcase the power of community collaboration and generosity.
