Annual Meeting highlights community impact, 2025 funding and outstanding supporters
Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) is investing $129,404 in 27 nonprofit programs and organizations across Lake, Miner, and Moody Counties in 2025. The funding was announced at IAUW’s annual meeting, where attendees also looked back on the impact made in 2024 and celebrated outstanding supporters.
“These funds directly support programs that make a lasting difference in our communities,” said IAUW President Lori Gustaf. “By investing in health, education, and economic mobility, we are working toward a stronger, more connected region.”

Grant recipients span various sectors, including education, healthcare, community development, and social services. Funding is made possible by generous contributions from individuals and businesses through IAUW’s annual campaign, as well as fundraising initiatives such as the WIN BIG Raffle and Dine Out to Donate.

Recognizing outstanding supporters
IAUW also took the opportunity to honor key supporters who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to its mission:

Heart Club members were also recognized at their respective annual giving levels of Bronze ($500-$749), Silver ($750-$999), Gold ($1,000-$1,999) and Platinum ($2,000 and above).
“These individuals and organizations embody the spirit of giving that drives our mission forward,” Gustaf added. “Their support plays a crucial role in helping us ensure every person in every community has access to opportunities to reach their full potential.”

During the meeting, IAUW also highlighted opportunities to get involved, including an open call for new board members.
IAUW’s board plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s mission, overseeing funding decisions, and driving fundraising efforts that sustain local programs.
