The Madison Chamber of Commerce recently presented $2,000 to Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) for work related to the DownTown in MadTown (DTMT) concert series.

IAUW has managed the beer garden at every DTMT event since the series began in 2018. In return, the Chamber donates a portion of each night’s sales to IAUW.
Chamber Director Eric Hortness recently presented IAUW’s 2025 earnings to IAUW President Lori Gustaf and Interim Executive Director Karen Giles. Including sales and tips, IAUW earned $3,469 in 2025.
“We’ve garnered nearly $19,000 from these events since 2018,” said Gustaf. “This year’s earnings will be put towards 2026 grant funding, supporting vital partner agencies and programs in the region.”
The campaign drive for the 2026 funding cycle is currently underway, with grant recipients set to be announced in February. People can support the campaign by donating online or setting up payroll deduction through a participating employer. Contact IAUW to request a pledge form.
