Details
- This is a ONE YEAR grant cycle (January-December) with funds provided at the beginning of each year
- Funding requests are made by completing and submitting the Application for Funds according to eligibility requirements by September 30 of the prior year
- IAUW does not support capital projects
- Partners may submit an application for more than one program
- Partners may be requested to submit to a brief interview with IAUW's Allocations Committee
- Funding is not guaranteed and subject to review by the IAUW board of directors
Timeline
- Applications are released August 1
- Applications are due September 30
- Funding is announced in February
- Grants of $2,000 or less are awarded in full in February
- Grants of $2,001 or more are awarded in two installments: 80% in February and 20% in July
- Blackout Period is July 1-August 30
Eligibility Requirements
Community partners and grant recipients MUST:
- Focus on one or more United Way Impact Area: Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, Community Resiliency
- Serve residents of Lake, Miner or Moody Counties
- Submit an annual financial report or recent income/expense statement with a completed application
- Provide up to 2 hours of volunteer time during the funding cycle
- Refrain from hosting or promoting fundraising events other than those for IAUW during the Blackout Period of July 1-August 30 (special permission may be given upon request)
- Promote IAUW in all capacities as much as possible
