Public is invited to attend via Skype
Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) will announce 2021 allocations and share success stories from 2020 at its upcoming Annual Meeting. To align with COVID-19 safety measures, the meeting will be conducted virtually Monday, February 8 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
IAUW President Lori Gustaf says the public is invited and encouraged to attend. The agenda includes a recap of the organization’s impact in 2020 plus highlights from partner agencies. The board will also recognize Heart Club members, event sponsors and outstanding supporters from the past year.
“We hope people will join us as we revisit memorable moments from the past year and share other good news,” Gustaf said. “Despite our current environment due to COVID-19, we’ve had an extraordinary year.”
Also planned for the meeting are details on IAUW’s partner agencies and program funding for 2021. The board concluded their annual campaign drive in December and determined allocations in January.
The meeting will be held on Skype, a telecommunications app similar to Zoom. A meeting link will be shared online and on the organization’s Facebook page Monday morning.
“A Skype account is not required to attend. Simply click on the link and join as a guest,” said Gustaf. “People can also contact us with questions, and we’ll be glad to help them log in.”
