Over $56,000 raised for local non-profits
Madison resident Jim Larson has been announced as the winner of the Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) WIN BIG Raffle. Larson took home a 2024 Case IH Farmall 35A Tractor, valued at over $37,000.

The WIN BIG Raffle raises funds for local non-profit organizations serving Lake, Miner, and Moody Counties. This year’s raffle generated $56,400 through the sale of 564 tickets.
The tractor was generously donated by Lake County International of Madison, the raffle’s premier sponsor. Other sponsors included F&M Co-Op Oil, Dakota Ethanol, KJAM Radio, Sunshine Foods, Good Stewards, Farm Credit Services of America, Dakotaland Federal Credit Union, First Bank & Trust, FirstLine Funding Group, Dakota State University, First PREMIER Bank, Jencks Law, P.C., East River Electric, BankWest, and Heartland Energy.
Larson’s winning ticket was drawn during halftime of the DSU Ag Bowl on Thursday, August 29. He was in attendance and experienced his win firsthand, marking a first for the WIN BIG Raffle. Larson shared that he tries to buy a ticket every year, and this time purchased his winning ticket at the Ag Bowl tailgate.

IAUW Executive Director Melissa Dougan expressed her gratitude to everyone involved.
“We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and to our incredible sponsors. Your support makes a real difference. Every dollar raised will go toward supporting vital community programs, and we couldn’t be more excited as we look ahead to our fall campaign.”
IAUW’s campaign drive towards 2025 grant funding kicks off October 2 with Dine Out to Donate. Details will be announced soon.
