IAUW receives Member impact fund grant

Money awarded through partnership with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines & First PREMIER and PREMIER Bankcard

Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW) is proud to announce that First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) have awarded them a $10,500 grant from the Member Impact Fund.

The grant money will help IAUW support programs and organizations focused on emergency services, housing stability, and opportunities for children in Lake, Miner and Moody counties. These have long been identified by IAUW as critical to building a stronger, more resilient community.

“We are deeply grateful to First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard for their investment and for their partnership in securing these matching funds,” said Karen Giles, executive director of Interlakes Area United Way. “This kind of support directly strengthens our ability to respond to the needs right here at home.”

“Giving back is at the heart of PREMIER, and the Member Impact Fund partnership with FHLB Des Moines allows us to make an even greater impact on the communities we serve,” said Floyd Rummel, First PREMIER Bank VP,  Market Leader in Madison. “Whether it’s an investment in a major project, sponsoring a local event, or volunteering our time, PREMIER is always looking for ways to make our communities even stronger.”

PREMIER provided a corporate donation along with applying for the FHLB Des Moines matching grant money. Recipients were selected based on funding needs for community programs like job training, affordable housing, financial literacy, food banks and youth activities.

IAUW is honored to steward these resources in support of that vision.
