15×15 Challenge returns: Two donors will win $500

East River Federal Credit Union sponsors two $500 gift card prizes for Interlakes Area United Way donors

What can $15 a month do for your community?

Through the 15×15 Challenge from Interlakes Area United Way (IAUW), that gift can help local families, support essential services, and give you a chance to win $500.

The 15×15 Challenge is back for IAUW’s 2027 campaign drive, Together, We Thrive. This year, two qualifying donors will each receive a $500 gift card, thanks to East River Federal Credit Union (ERFCU).

Qualifying is simple. Pledge at least $15 per month in 2027 or make a one-time gift of at least $180 for 2027. Submit your pledge form to IAUW by November 15, 2026 to be entered in the drawing.

“At East River Federal Credit Union, taking care of our neighbors is part of who we are and our responsibility as community leaders goes beyond financial services,” said Tanya Hobson, president and CEO of ERFCU and an IAUW board member. “Supporting Interlakes Area United Way and sponsoring the 15×15 Challenge puts that commitment into action by encouraging small, steady gifts that meet a wide range of local needs and together, build a stronger community for all of us.”

ERFCU has sponsored the 15×15 Challenge since 2018. Over the years, the promotion has helped turn individual gifts into lasting support, connecting more than $155,000 to IAUW’s work.

“Every gift matters, and you don’t have to give a lot at once to make a difference,” said Karen Giles, executive director of IAUW. “Your support helps local programs meet real needs and build a stronger future for our communities.”

IAUW supports local programs across Lake, Miner and Moody Counties in four impact areas: Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security and Community Resiliency. These programs help meet needs ranging from food and health care to childcare, financial assistance and emergency support.

Ready to take the challenge? Make your pledge online at interlakesunitedway.org/donate, request a form by emailing director@interlakesunitedway.org, or arrange payroll deduction through your employer. All pledge forms must be submitted by November 15, 2026.

Give $15 a month—or $180 at once. Help your community thrive and you could be one of two lucky winners!
